Last month, it began to fail, and now completely lacks continuity. I bought the cable to connect my iPhone to the stereo in my truck. It worked well for two months, though the length meant I had an awkward coil of wire wrapped around my shifter. I expect cables to fail eventually, but three months seems pretty quick for catastrophic product failure. Searching for the packaging to send back to Belkin.
I don't think there will be a negative for this product.I didn't believe my self when I saw this after I received, this was such a great productthe Wire was so thick & good quality that you will not have any Transmission loss.the connectors were so flashy & have a great Steel look, that every one would ask me where did I get this awesome Aux cable from.I proudly say Amazon, & for the price (
I noticed other reviews mentioned concerns with the length of the cord, but I had no problem with it when I just kept one of the twist ties around the coiled cord. I got this to use in the car's AUX output for a roadtrip with an ipod (and anticipating future use with iphone). It worked great with ipod. This allowed the cord to be just long enough to reach the back of the car and not drag on the floor, and then it could easily be rolled back up for storage in the glove compartment. After reading reviews for other cords with retraction devices, it seemed like they were prone to breakage, so it was worth the extra $2-3 for this stronger cord (and it does seem well-insulated, not easy to bend or break). The one thing I would have liked to be different would be for the cord to have a bend at the plug (rather than being straight) - Since it was straight it seemed easy for the cord to be pulled out of the ipod.
This cable was the perfect length to route through the console and hide in a drawer near the e-brake. This cable was exactly what I was looking for. I installed it into a new car stereo that has an AUX port in the back of the stereo. The end works on any mp3 player as well as any iphone/ipod which i may upgrade to in the future. Looks nice too.
No problems. Bought this to hook up my iPod to my car stereo. Works as expected. Costs too much, though. Bought it because was the cheapest one that shipped with Amazon Prime.
